Fast Relief for Mosquito Bites with Home Remedies
Ouch!! Those pesky mosquitos are enough to ruin a fun summer evening out with family and friends! Don't get discouraged, though, I know some great home remedies that will stop the itch and help you get relief from those mosquito bites.
One of the first things you want to do when you get a bite is scratch it. But, stop, don't scratch! That's one of the worse things you can do. Why? I can explain that.
Let's take a look at some Home Remedies for mosquito bites:
If you get a bite (and notice it before it starts itching) rub an ice cube on it, immediately, to decrease the inflammation that causes the itching. Applying any cold compress, such as a frozen bag of vegetables, will do the trick.
Make a paste of water and baking soda and apply to the affected area(s).
Dab some Tea Tree Oil on the bites to help relieve the itch and reduce swelling.
My favorite remedy is
Aloe Vera.
Cut open a small piece of the plant and rub the gel on the affected area(s). It will stop the itch, help dry the bump up and begin to heal it.
Banana peels are great for stopping the itch! Keep skins (in a plastic bag) in the freezer so you'll have a cold compress when needed. Rub the inside of peel on the bump and get relief right away.
Another favorite of mine is
apple cider vinegar.
It can almost work miracles. Dab some on a cotton ball and rub into bite. It will soothe the sting and give much needed relief!
