A Mom Who Took an Interest and Made It Soar

I am a mom who took an idea, an interest, something I liked, and turned it into a profitable business.

Hi, my name is Lisa Andrews. It's great to meet you; thanks for visiting my site. Let me share just a little bit about myself with you.

I was married at the age of 25 then started having my children at 28. I was a stay-at-home mom for about 10 years.

During my years as a stay-at-home mom I wanted to "do something" to help provide additional income. I tried different sources such as party sales, house cleaning and even envelope stuffing (what a joke). But, to no avail, none of it really provided much of an income nor did they interest me. I have always been interested in home remedies which lead me to begin researching different uses for natural products and/or basic items that I already had around the house. I was fascinated with the many uses for things such as vinegar and table salt along with many other items. So, I began to keep a log of it all. I gathered pages and pages of useful, money saving remedies and tips that I was really excited about. Remember, we were a one income family so I had to learn to save money and stretch our dollars!

I began to review what I had gathered and realized that there were people out there making money off of this same sort of information. Since, after all, I had to get my information from somewhere, somebody or something.

There are all kinds of books and websites on home remedies, but I didn't have the money to get a book published or to build a website, so I thought! Well, that's where SBI came in. I was really...really ready to get started.

My dream was coming true. From day one I always thought it would be really cool to have a website. I always wondered how people really made money off of the web. Did I have a product to sell? NO, and you don't have to. Information is the number one reason people search the internet.

Well, I decided, why not take the information I already had and share with others...and make a profit, too! So, I did.

Do you have a hobby, a special interest or even work experience? Maybe you're a great cook, good at needlepoint or crosstitiching. Possibly you're a swimmer or bicyclist, a fishing enthusiast, a snow skier, a runner, or a fitness expert. It could be you just love to help plan parties, or you're a movie buff, maybe you love to read books. Well, whatever it is, what you like or know about can be converted into a business! A profitable business!
