Aloe Vera…The Healing Plant
Aloe Vera is known as a healing plant that is used in many ointments, creams, lotions and hair care products.
It is also a wonderful skin moisturizer and softener. More importantly, it is a great “skin healer” that is extremely effective on minor burns, cuts and scrapes, insect bites or stings.
Use it for
acne
or to dry up pimples, for patches of eczema and especially, it's great to use on fever blisters or cold sores.
Be sure to keep an Aloe Vera plant around the house. It is easy to grow and doesn’t require much water since it’s a cactus. To make use of the plant all you have to do is snip off a small piece and squeeze the liquid gel out. Rub it directly on the affected area then let it dry. It smells really nasty, but will be worth it! Watch it begin to heal! As I mentioned earlier it heals many types of skin problems. I use it all the time on fever blisters, which I get quite frequently, and it dries them up within a few days. Just recently a doctor gave me some medicine for a
fever blister
I had on my fingers (pictured on the previous page) so, just to appease him, I tried it. Well, it wasn’t helping, in fact, they were getting worse. So, I got out the “old home remedy”, rubbed it all over my fingers and by the next morning they were starting to dry up.
Last summer my son had a quarter size burn from a motor scooter on his thigh. I cleaned it thoroughly then decided to try the Aloe Vera on it. I kept it dry and uncovered; by the next day it was beginning to heal. I continued to apply the aloe daily and within a week it was completely healed and, because of the moisturizing effect, it left no scar!
Taken internally, in capsule form or juice, Aloe Vera aids in the healing of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ulcers, constipation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids or rectal itching. In the case of diarrhea or constipation it helps to regulate the bowels.
I’m sure,, now that you have read about all the healing aspects you will want to do yourself a favor and buy the plant to keep around. I promise you, you’ll be glad you did! The creams, lotions, ointments and hair care products that contain aloe are good, also. For internal ailments use products made with aloe Vera, the juice or in the capsule form. Some options may be:
I can’t say enough about using the Aloe Vera, because for me, it is the BEST treatment. It works for me every time, even on those ugly blisters that appeared on my fingers.
